The laser scanning and flaw detection test bench ROBOSKOP VTM-5000 RAILWAY is used for a complete non-destructive testing cycle of wheelsets with any type of axes. Is used for the current, average or major repairs in accordance with the methodical requirements of Railway norms. It is also possible to adapt the ROBOSKOP VTM-5000 RAILWAY to any national or industrial testing requirements. A flexible system of settings allows forming any sequence of tested wheelset parts as well as the selective monitoring of individual zones.
Ultrasonic and eddy-current testing methods are simultaneously available. The probes are automatically changeable during operation. Laser measurement of wheelset part geometry includes the mandatory measurement of each wheel surface's profile: rim, pre-rim zone, flange, wheel diameter and inter-band distance, additional analysis of roll surface to detect cracks and holes. All testing parameters and measurements are consolidated into one final protocol with visual and tabular deciphering, forming an electronic wheelset certificate.
